Here's some close-ups of the major body damage
that existed, nothing pictured was beyond repair, it's what you can't see on
the outside that made me decide to give up on this chassis:
The really bad rust was in the leading edge of
the doorjambs. They are rotted through, NOT easy to fix correctly. But the biggest
rust spot of all is the driver's side structure where the anti-roll bar bolts
to the chassis. This is also a common rust spot since the master brake cylinder
lives right above it. When the master leaks the brake fluid goes right to this
area and rots it away. This Coupe is suffering from severe rust in this area
and repair is too much work to be worth my effort.
