’88 Verde For Sale
’88 Verde For Sale
After 11 years of ownership I have decided to part with my Verde. The car has the original paint, save for the hood and driver’s fender. I rear ended another car in stop and go traffic, hard enough to damage hood and fender, but not bad enough to even damage the radiator, Drove the car home afterwards.
The roof has the typical clear coat starting to cloud, otherwise the paint is in great shape for being 24 years old! The seat upholstery is fantastic and original, as long as you don’t look at the back side of the rear seat headrests. The sun has finally damaged the threads on them. I changed the headliner a couple of years ago with an OEM one, looks like new! Except for the sunroof. I have the material to recover the sunroof, just never got to it.
The following is an attempt to list the big items that matter. There’s a long list of minor stuff that has been done, like replacing the trunk release cable and the emergency cable with a steel one at the same time, Euro grille, etc. I’ll get pics of the interior up later this weekend!

I bought the car with 90k miles, it now has ~158k miles. I went completely through the engine at around 110k miles, the pics below are from that rebuild. At that time the following was done (short list):
This is the car at the Concorso Italiano, I think it was 2011. (It’s the one in the middle)
In the slideshow, the first 25 pictures are of the car as it is today. Literally. I took those pictures on Sunday 6/24. The pictures of the engine in pieces were taken at around the 110k mile mark when I rebuilt the drivetrain and put in all the ‘S’ goodies.
